rebecca picked me up and we headed to bottom of the hill to meet jill & drew for the angry samoans show... the band playing when we got there was so-so, standard oi stuff... not bad... i think it was Officer Down...?

then this group of probably 16, 17, MAYBE 18 year olds gets on stage... takes forever to set up and all of a sudden, flashing strobe lights and dooloolooloo keyboards and emo hair a-flyin... WTF. i mean granted there are bands within the screamo/new school hardcore genre that are good at what they do but, #1) this was not one of those ok bands and 2) booking-wise, how were they on this bill? they seriously sounded like their whole inspiration as a band comes from sitting at home double fisting themselves with egg beaters while listening to Avenged Sevenfold and crying because their daddy didn't love them. they are ladies and gentlemen, The Subtle Way. they have a MySpace. look them up. probably the only band on the face of the planet that is worse than Bad Shit.

finally angry samoans played. good times. we decided rebecca's new knuckle tattoos will say JEW4 LIFE and drew's will say DREW 4 LIFE hahaha but that's too many letters. hey, my long island didn't care how many letters it was...

then we hit up parkside for a couple beers and the photobooth before heading home... kenny was working so i talked to him for a minute but im sure i was in and out of every conversation we might have started. he has a rad new job working with puppies, yay!

photobooth pics... i made a point of turning them away from each other when they were drying but the strips stuck to each other's picture side so there's a green imprint on them now...
